About

Always restless by nature, I have traveled widely throughout my life; but always with boyfriends, husbands, children and girlfriends. In 2014, after a wonderful holiday in Europe, I became hungry for way, way more. This drove me to learn Italian, research extensively and take the next step. I traveled for 6 weeks through southern Italy on my own. I had lots of ups and downs and a few exciting adventures but it was a life altering experience. I am forever changed. I have now made my passion for Italy, writing and travel a regular part of my life. I’m planning one day soon to stay…

    1. I keep coming back to your photos Riccardo, there is something very calm, still and serene about them. I’m not sure what it is, whether it is the subject you are capturing, or whether it is you?

  1. If you’re interested in exploring the lesser-known parts of Italy then I highly recommend Abruzzo. It’s not far from Rome and we boast some magnificent mountains and beautiful beaches. The food is out of this world. I live in Sulmona – home to Ovid, confetti and arrosticini. Let me know if you ever fancy heading away from the tourist areas 🙂

  2. Andrea, Thanks for the invite to the Liebster Award. I am flattered! However, I don’t really have time right now to get around to writing for it, so I am going to take a pass. I have a couple of other blog posts I planned to write and we are going away for a month next week so lots to do!

    Again, thanks. Maybe another time!

  3. Congratulations on your newfound solo travels! (or maybe of a couple of years ago, judging from the above comment dates)
I’ve found that when I’m on my own, I meet more people, which I suppose is natural, as I’m looking to make a connection, so I tend to have more of an authentic experience.
    Happy Travels!
